Live Like A Self-Driving Christian | 2 Corinthians 13:5

Have you ever driven a car that self-corrects?

You know the ones where you begin to drift out of the lane, and it automatically brings you back in line.

The Bible tells us to live just like that.

You see, when it comes to our faith, we don’t go from the straight and narrow to off course in an instant; we drift away slowly.

And like a self-driving car, we must constantly check our position to make sure we’re still on track.

This is what the apostle Paul meant when he wrote:

“Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?” (2 Corinthians 13:5 NIV)

By testing yourself often with questions such as “Did I pray today?” or “Was I generous this week?”, you’ll know if you’ve started to drift.

So don’t leave your alignment with Christ to chance.

The Wise Believer examines themself often, and like a self-driving car, makes corrections as necessary.
