Have you ever felt led to do something, but fear kept you back?
Maybe it was to give a sermon, interview for a job, or start a business. Whatever it was, at first you might have been excited, but soon after, you were afraid.
Well…you’re not the only one. The moment most people are challenged to do something out of their comfort zone, fear creeps in.
But it doesn’t mean you aren’t able to do it. And the excuses that come to mind are usually lies we tell ourselves to escape.
We see this pattern throughout the Bible:
- Moses said he couldn’t speak and would be doubted.
- Similarly, Jeremiah said he couldn’t speak and was too young.
- And Gideon said his family was the weakest and he the least important.
Despite their initial fear, they all went on to succeed at what God called them to do. Like them, you might be afraid at first, but just like them, with God, you will succeed as well.
So, what’s that calling you been avoiding up to now? Is there anyone God can’t use?
Remember, The Wise Believer might feel fear initially, but knowing it’s normal, they move forward anyway.
