Know What You Want God To Do

Watch The Video

If God gave you 5 seconds to ask for anything, would you know what you want?

While you might be ready with a request, you’d be surprised at how many of us believers wouldn’t know for certain.

Yes, God already knows everything.

But from some of Jesus’ healings, it seems God wants us to ask for specific things even when our needs are obvious.

Take Blind Bartimaeus, for instance. Though he was obviously blind, Jesus still asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” (Mark 10:51 NIV)

Similarly, at the pool of Bethesda, Jesus knew that the lame man had been ill for a long time, yet he still asked him, “Would you like to get well?” (John 5:6 NLT).

On a practical level, knowing what you want will cause you to be alert to anything that can make it a reality.

With your desire constantly in mind, your decisions will be guided by it, and you’ll naturally persist in prayer for it since it’ll be on your heart.

So, even if it’s for someone else, remember that there is power in knowing what you want God to do.

The Wise Believer doesn’t pray amiss, knowing what they want, they make their specific request known to God.
