Don’t Let That One Desire Blind You To God’s Blessings | Philippians 4:6-7

Right now, there is something you really want. It might be a house, a child, or a job. Whatever it is, every time it comes to mind, the lack of it brings you down.

But what if that desire is quietly robbing you?

You see, it’s all a cycle. Each new desire grabs your attention and blinds you to the blessings you already have.

Abraham felt this too. Even with wealth and a relationship with God, he said none of it mattered because he didn’t have a child. (Genesis 15:2)

But waiting for that door to open doesn’t have to steal your peace.

The Bible says:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 NIV).

When you give that desire to God, and replace worry with thanksgiving, peace follows.

So while you wait, what blessing can you thank God for today?

The Wise Believer doesn’t just pray for more, but remembers God’s blessings before.
