Why Reading LESS Bible Might Help You Grow More

Watch The Video

You might be falling for a trap.

Reading multiple chapters of The Bible each day, yet not growing spiritually.

Now, don’t get me wrong, if your goal is to finish the Bible in a year, that’s fine.

But if you really want to grow, then it’s not about quantity. It’s about making it stick.

Think about this.

Person A reads 5 chapters every morning… and forgets it.

Person B reads 1 verse…thinks about it all day…and lives it.

Who’s really growing?

Psalm 1 says to meditate on the Word day and night.

Another Psalm says to hide it in your heart (Psalm 119:11).

And the book of James says if you hear the Word and forget it, it’s like looking in a mirror, seeing how you look, yet forgetting when you go away.

So, if you’ve been reading a lot but remembering little, know this:

The Wise Believer reads less, not to regress…but to progress.
